Would you do anything for success?

This story is a bit older (from August of 2024), but it has been something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. It involves NASCAR, which I know very little about, but the story has some interesting questions that I think every manager and organization needs to think about.na

Here is a summary of the story: Part of the NASCAR rules says that if you win a race, you get a bid for the playoffs. One racer, Austin Dillion, intentionally caused a crash with 2 other cars to get the win. There is little debate he intentionally caused the crash and little debate on the reason. In fact, Dillion is quoted as saying, “It’s the rules of the sport, right? It is what it is. Wins get you into the next round.” Not exactly denial or remorse there.
