I have never hid my dislike and distrust of executive communications. Communication is critical to having a psychologically safe and effective workplace. Most of the examples we see show that executives 1) are bad at it and 2) don’t understand it. My latest example is a report from the 3rd quarter employee meeting, held the day after the earnings release call. Here is an article.
Full disclosure: The things the executives did and said were not the most egregious things. The reason I wanted to discuss it is because it is a normal type of quarterly employee meeting.
