Great Manager Newsletter - June 25, 2025
Employers Are Telling Employees to Embrace AI or Else....
Editors Note: There will be no newsletter next week. I am taking some time off and will return on July 9 with a revamped newsletter format. Enjoy the July 4th Holiday.
Bill Clinton once said “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America.”
I think the same applies to business. I talk about how the workplace is broken, but it became broken because of the choices being made. We can fix workplaces by making different and better choices.
This is one reason why I created this community. So we could identify and address these issues together. The Great Manager Community only succeeds when our community is growing and thriving.
If you are free member, consider upgrading to paid ($5/month or $50/year). This newsletter and all the other resources take time and my paid memberships are a huge help to me.

Let’s get started.
1 Big Thing
Embrace AI or Else….
I think this is interesting in the vision of AI. But I also think that the CEOs are missing the true message. It isn’t about extinction, it is about cost vs benefit. The thing is, execs and companies will still demand the use of AI for whatever reason. Which means, managers need to figure this out (because the organization won’t do it well).

By the Numbers
31%
According to a survey, 31% of employees are sabotaging their employer’s AI efforts.
Is this because employers are using AI as a threat to jobs or because workers just don’t see the benefit to themselves?
Words of Wisdom
You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.
