I recently read the results of a survey by Resume Builder that had some interesting (and scary) results. You can read it here. My first response was annoyance at some of the survey results, and I fully intended to write an article blasting the people who responded to this survey.
In the idea of fairness, I read the article a few times through and tried to look at it critically. As I did, I realized that without knowing how the questions were framed, the answers may not have been as preposterous as I originally thought. In fact, the questions could have been incredibly misleading. Which tempered my blast considerably. Then I realized that this information and how to use and implement it in real life is probably the biggest challenge for managers.
With that in mind, here are some of the challenges and actions that managers should do when looking at information and deciding if and how to implement.
