Unlimited PTO (Paid Time Off) has become a popular trend among modern organizations, hailed as a progressive policy that empowers employees to take charge of their work-life balance. On the surface, it seems like a great idea—after all, what’s better than unlimited vacation time? But as with any policy, the devil is in the details. If not managed carefully, unlimited PTO can be risky for both employees and employers.
