Between 2000 and today, organizations have spent billions of dollars on programs and training designed to increase employee engagement – yet any improvements have been short lived and minor.

A recent article in Inc. made the distinction between sudden and sustained crises argues that leaders need to realize that we are in a sustained crises and act accordingly. I agree.

This got me thinking back to the early days of the Covid pandemic. While there were a lot of things that people struggled with personally and professionally, one thing stands out – it was the peak of employee engagement.
